Youth

Nurturing the future leaders of tomorrow through holistic, youth-centred empowerment

Circle of Care Program

The Circle Care Program at Enabling Pathways is devoted to nurturing and supporting young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. Centred around the core principles of Safety, Wellbeing, Connection, and Healing, our program is a comprehensive approach to guide young individuals on their journey to recovery and growth.

Our Holistic Approach

"Cultivating Identity and Belonging through Cultural Connection."

We integrate insights from attachment theory, developmental psychology, and ecological systems theory to create a supportive environment that addresses the multifaceted needs of each young person.

By placing the young individual at the center of our model, we tailor our support to foster a sense of security (Safety), promote emotional and physical wellness (Wellbeing), build strong, positive relationships (Connection), and facilitate the healing process (Healing).

Mission

Our mission is to empower these young people to navigate their healing journey confidently, enabling them to achieve their goals and contribute positively to society.

At Circle Care, every young individual receives the support and guidance needed to turn challenges into opportunities for resilience and growth."

Vision

We aim to create a nurturing space where young people can develop a strong sense of identity and belonging.

The Circle of Care Cultural Program is more than just support; it’s an avenue for young individuals to connect with their culture, fostering a deeper understanding of self and community.”

Respecting & Embracing Cultural Diversity

Our program recognises the importance of cultural identity in the healing and development of young people.

By collaborating with local communities and integrating indigenous perspectives, we offer a culturally enriched environment where young individuals can explore and embrace their cultural roots.

Principles of Healing, Connection, and Safety & Wellbeing

The Circle Care Program is firmly grounded in the principles of healing, connection, and safety and wellbeing. These principles are vital in supporting the recovery and growth of young people who have endured trauma, abuse, or neglect.

Healing

Our approach to healing is comprehensive, focusing on helping young people overcome their past, navigate the present, and prepare for the future. This is achieved by providing a safe, nurturing environment where young people feel valued and accepted.

Our program employs evidence-based interventions tailored to address the multifaceted impacts of trauma on the brain, body, and behaviour.

Connection

We assist young people in forging positive and meaningful relationships with themselves, others, and their culture. This involves creating opportunities for them to explore and express their identity, values, and beliefs.

We also facilitate their engagement in activities that nurture their interests and talents. Crucial to this is enhancing their connections with family, caregivers, peers, educational institutions, and the community. We prioritise access to services and resources that cater to their unique needs.

Safety and Wellbeing

Our focus extends to ensuring the physical, emotional, and social safety and security of young people. This encompasses establishing clear, consistent boundaries, expectations, and routines, and modelling as well as teaching healthy coping skills and behaviours.

We are committed to promoting overall health and wellbeing by ensuring access to adequate nutrition, hygiene, physical activity, restful sleep, and medical care.
